We proudly present you this national monument, situated on the mound of the Doniakerk between the dike and historic Makkum. This house, built around 1600, is possibly the oldest house of the IJsselmeer village and is equipped with all comforts, without making concessions to the atmosphere and authenticity. You look out over the lovely spacious garden, a meadow where sheep walk and the IJsselmeer dyke in the background.
Layout:
The path of tiles leads you to the front door and this gives access to the central hall of which the floor also has marble "tiles". The restored well is one of the special elements, which shows that the property was built around 1600. The front room is a sea of light through three large windows with a view of the meadow, the dike and the masts of the brown fleet behind it. The wooden box bed is now used as a cupboard. On the other side of the corridor is the living room. The television is hidden behind the antique cabinet wall, of which one cabinet door is a passage to the kitchen. The basement is also behind this door. The living kitchen is equipped with all modern conveniences, such as a Boretti cooker. The kitchen is unmistakably designed by a real cooking enthusiast. The kitchen door gives access to the terrace from where you have a view of your own garden with the high trees of the church as windbreakers. The 1st bathroom is on the ground floor. This makes ground floor living possible (the back room is a great bedroom). The bathroom is equipped with a luxurious steam/shower cabin, underfloor heating, wide sink and second toilet. Furthermore, the ground floor has a laundry room and a modern toilet with hanging closet.
1st Floor:
Landing with lots of closet space under the knee. Bedroom at the front with lots of closet space and a dormer. The bedroom at the rear has two special windows with shutters. The beams and wooden ceiling also provide a lot of atmosphere here. The second bathroom is built into the dormer and is equipped with shower, 3rd toilet and sink.
2nd floor:
Through a staircase there is access to the storage attic. Here hangs the c.v. boiler and ventilation box.
The spacious garden has several (sunny) terraces, an orchard and a large wooden garage with adjacent barn. The garden shows that much time and love is given to it. The car can be driven via the path (right of way) to the garage.
General:
806m² own land. The house is in an excellent state of maintenance. The house is modern with special elements such as tile panels (Royal Tichelaar), wooden ornaments, beamed ceilings and the special fireplace with wood stove are preserved. The windows are fitted with thermopane glazing and the roof has insulation.
We are looking for a monument lover who can enjoy the peace, light and luxury.
